FIE Test is committed to providing practical based education to the engineering students in order to bridge the gap between theoretical education and actual industrial practices. Each year FIE Test invites students from mechanical, industrial, production, and electronics engineering departments from nearby technical institutes to attend a training event. Students get to see FIE’s modern machines and observe the operations. Our experts train the students on actual machines. The students learn about the testing procedure, application, and calibration. This training has helped hundreds of students to understand the concepts practically which they have learnt during regular lectures at their institutes.
Furthermore, the FIE Test has planned to develop a separate practice-based full certification course for engineers. Now along with individuals or group of students, industry professionals can also join the certification program and earn a verified certificate from FIE Test. This certification training will be essential to qualify as a testing machine operator, test specimen preparation expert or calibration expert. Combining with the theoretical principles, about 80% of the certification program will be practical oriented. Through such steps, FIE is bringing regular theoretical and actual practical education together.
In 2014 Government of India announced a policy – “Make in India” to make the nation self-reliant. FIE Test is a true ambassador of this initiative. We have developed a fully automatic impact testing machine that works with an impact energy of 750J. Previously, such machines were imported in India. FIE Test has designed and manufactured the entire machine in-house. The raw material required for the machine was sourced from the Indian vendors only. Now, with this machine, we have introduced an import substitute in high energy impact testing machine segment. By developing the machine in India and sourcing all the raw material from the Indian vendors we have demonstrated our true commitment towards making India Atmanirbhar i.e. Self-reliant.
Continuing the efforts, each year FIE is increasingly manufacturing its machines in India and sourcing the required raw material from the Indian vendors. Government of India awarded FIE with National Award for Import Substitute. Our aim to motivate Indian manufactures to design and develop their solutions in India. Therefore each year in the IMTEX Exhibition, FIE Foundation honours the machine tool manufacturers bringing innovative machine designs in the market.
FIE Test always supports and motivates talent. We are proud sponsor of the Team Drifters from DKTE College of Engineering, Ichalkaranji, Maharashtra for a Go-Karting championship held in February 2019. FIE and Drifters collaboratively developed a Kart. Team Drifters participated in the national level Go-Karting event named Indian Karting Championship Season 3. The talented team Drifters showed a remarkable passion and dedication and perfected their craft. FIE’s experts associated the team at every step of the development process. The result? Team Drifters and FIE are the winners of Indian Karting Championship Season 3.
